Services Offered

  • Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a one-on-one meeting with a mental health professional. These meetings are a time for you to address your concerns and learn skills and techniques you can use to grow in your ability to manage real life situations. In Missouri and looking for a virtual counseling option? Contact our virtual Clinical Counseling Center.
  • Couples Therapy
You and your partner can work together with the counselor to identify obstacles and then learn skills and communication techniques that can be used to overcome the obstacles in order to have a healthy relationship.
  • Group Therapy
Some issues can be effectively addressed in a group setting. You will interact with other individuals who are working on a similar issue. Meetings are typically once per week and can have a set number of occurrences.

Meet the Counselors

wooldridge-2023Katie Wooldridge, M.Ed., LPC

I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Human Services from Columbia College in 2009. I then went on to Stephen’s College for my Master’s of Education in Counseling. I worked in adult mental health with New Horizons Community Support Services for 11 years. I’ve had my own private practice in Boonville, MO since 2012. Coming to CMU in the Fall of 2020 allowed us to expand our counseling center in order to serve more students. We are now able to utilize CMU’s Master of Clinical Counseling interns to provide additional counseling services to our student population. If you are interested in Central Methodist University being the location for your counseling internship, email Katie Wooldridge.
